Broadway Gross Profits

• Cleansed and analyzed 29,107 Broadway finance records using Python and Visual Studio Code. Also used Jupyter Notebook for data visualization.

• Identified various interesting consumer trends and show metrics, including:

  • Shows see the highest attendance during Christmas, followed by late Spring/early Summer.

  • All 5 of the higest earning shows are musicals.

• Tracked gross profits from 1996 to 2015 to identify a continual positive trend.

​

• Estimated gross profits for years before historical data was collected and reported (1990-1995) and unrecorded, pre-pandemic years (2016-2019).

​

• Used OLS regression to compare correlation of attendance and number of performances with profits, finding the latter has a higher instance.
